This Sangiovese by Angullong Wines flaunts a light garnet colour with a touch of youthful purple. Floral aromas of blueberries, sour cherries, dried herbs and spice leap out of the glass, setting the tone for a matching light to medium-bodied palate. A sip of the red wine reveals refreshing characters of blueberries, sour cherries and spice. Combined with subtle and silky tannins, the elegant flavours provide a balanced finish. This drink has been produced to be enjoyed upon its release, but can also be carefully cellared for up to 5 years from vintage. Relish its savoury herbal flavour profile with baked ziti, pizza margherita, or any traditional Italian dish.
The Crossing family planted grapevines on its property with pastoral heritage between the years 1998-2000, thereby establishing the Angullong Vineyard. The company’s wine label was established 3 years later. Angullong’s winemaking philosophy is to let the grapes be regionally expressive.
