Banrock Station Wines was purchased in the year 1995 in a joint partnership with Landcare. It is located on the banks of the River Murray in South Australia. The brand’s philosophy is to create wines that are delicious and value for money, while being respectful to the earth they come from. For a few years now, it has been funding research to help the World Wildlife Fund protect turtles in the Great Barrier Reef.
Banrock Station Pink Moscato is light, floral and excellent value for money. Displaying a delicate pink blush, it reveals a fresh bouquet of floral notes complemented by subtle sherbet and musk aromas. The musk replicates on the palate, and has a fairy floss like characteristic to it. The natural sweetness is just right, and is beautifully balanced by fresh acidity and a light spritz. All in all, the finale is refreshing. While this wine makes for a wonderful aperitif, it also goes well with crisp summer salads, cheese platters and desserts.
