Banrock Station is a modern winery situated on Holmes Road in Kingston. Winemaker Paul Burnett, born and brought up in South Australia, understands the region and its terroir, thus creating delicious, elegant and fruit-forward wine varietals and blends for the Australian wine market. The team at Banrock Station works with the philosophy to create flavoursome, generous and value for money Australian wines, while demonstrating respect for the good earth from which they come.
The 2015 Banrock Station Shiraz Cabernet is a deep crimson hued wine with purple highlights visible throughout. A full-bodied and semi-sweet wine, its intense nose gives out aromas of blackberry, coffee and oak coupled with nuances of cinnamon and clove. The rich and balanced palate of this Shiraz Cabernet contains flavours of plum and blackberry intermixing with clove and aniseed spices. Supported by a well-rounded tannin structure, the flavours lead to a clean and refreshing climax that gets enhanced when you consume this delightful wine paired with tomato pasta, barbecued beef and heavy meat dishes.
