Battle of Bosworth has its roots dating back to the 1840s, when its first vineyard was planted in McLaren Vale. Named as Edgehill, the vineyard is located in Willunga, to the south of the McLaren Vale township. The brand came into existence in 1995, when owner Joch Bosworth converted the vineyards to fully certified organic viticulture. Now, it is listed as Australia's leading organic wineries producing a range of outstanding single-vineyard wines from estate-grown fruit.
Battle of Bosworth Puritan PF Shiraz is made in the ‘Joven’ style. A vibrant and fresh expression of McLaren Vale Shiraz, it shows a beautiful crimson colour with depth. On the bouquet, the wine exudes aromas of blueberries, damsons and dark chocolate. The full-bodied palate is flavoured with red and black fruits, violets, black cherries, and a touch of liquorice. Subtle tannins give this McLaren Vale Shiraz a smooth texture. It can be enjoyed with Gouda cheese, grilled beef, or lamb dishes.
