Availability: In stock

Appearance is Classic pale salmon Rosé colour. Red fruits, smells savoury and exciting, nougat, aromatic. Gentle flavours, morello cherry, soft acidity and creamy. Perfect with gin cured salmon.

In 1994, the De Bortoli family planted the Bella Riva vineyard on the King River at the base of the Victorian snowfields. The vineyard is planted on sandstone and shale deposits washed down by the river, blocks require timely crop thinning to ensure good flavour and colour development. Winemaking - Probably nothing better than a chilly bottle of pale, dry, savoury Rosé when the sun shines. Although pale, the wine has a red wine feel about it so that it even drinks well in winter. 70% of the blend grown and pressed for texture and flavour. 30% is run off Sangiovese red ferments for aromatics and perfume. The juice is fermented naturally in both cask and vats. The wine undergoes secondary fermentation on lees until final assembling of the blend.
