Father's Day

Are you all set for Father’s Day? You barely have two days to prepare for Dad’s big day.

Here are some suggestions on how you can make this coming Sunday very special for him:

Breakfast in Bed

What better way to start the day than a big breakfast in bed! His favorite cup of coffee and morning paper should go with the breakfast, too. And of course, your good morning hugs and kisses!

Make Father’s Day a Family Day

Gather the whole family together. Include in the get together all the fathers in your family- your Dad, grandfathers, uncles, brothers, brothers-in-law, and even step-Dads- the more the merrier! You can go to the park and enjoy a family picnic with barbecue. Fishing and sporting events are good choices, too.

Be Creative with Your Gift

This Father’s Day may be the best time for you to display your culinary/baking expertise. Why don’t you bake a special cake just for him? Or cook Dad’s favourite dinner? You can also write him a poem and recite it in front of him.

How about a gift basket? You can get creative with this one, too, by including his favorite stuff like chocolates, cookies, his favourite bottle of wine, and that coffee table book he had been longing to buy!

Reminisce Old Times Together

Still counting on creativity, create a slideshow of your old photos together. Indicate when were these photos taken and some special memories about it. This will make you both realize how much exceptional moments you have both shared and will rekindle that father and child bond that seem to have lost its spark in the last few years.

Propose a Toast for Dad

To wrap things up, make everybody speak his thoughts about your Dad, especially all your siblings. Tell him how much you appreciate his efforts to guide all of you in the proper direction. Say you’re sorry for the times you have been difficult. Most of all, tell him that you love him.

Pour wine on each of your glasses and say CHEERS to the best Dad in the world!
