Jackalope - Vineyard Hotels In Australia

Ask a wine enthusiast what the best place to drink wine is, & they would probably answer that they would like to lie down amongst the grapevines, taking in the smells of fresh & juicy grapes, with the cool breeze flowing through their hair, and a glass of their favourite wine in their hands.

Well, this can be made possible by booking a suite at one of the many vineyard hotels spread throughout Australia. Vineyard hotels allow wine lovers to live out their dream of staying amongst juicy as well as fragrant grapes, and wake up to breathtaking views. Vineyard hotels blend class & elegance with the authentic feel of a vineyard, promising serenity & peace of mind.

A new haunt just opened up for the perennial vineyard lover in you – the Jackalope hotel in the middle of Mornington Peninsula’s ‘Willow Creek Vineyard’. Jackalope refers to a creature from North American folklore – an amalgam of an antelope & a jackrabbit. A huge sculpture of this mythological creature sits in front of the entrance to this 46-room hotel, inviting you into this fusion of elegant style, innovative design, experimental food & lip-smacking wine.

Going past the entrance, you reach Flaggerdoot, their enchanting bar boasting of a futuristic & exquisite décor. The chairs have been crafted to look as though they are made from melting gold, & the whole area is full of plaster busts sitting atop black pillars, staring into nothingness. The main attraction of the fine dining restaurant Doot Doot Doot is the massive chandelier. The 10,000 golden exposed filament bulbs cover the ceiling of the restaurant, resembling the fermenting bubbles of a sparkling wine.

Apart from these highlights, the hotel exudes a dark & moody feel. The rooms are painted black & grey, the dark hallways are black with neon blue circles, & the Japanese bathtubs feature a hue akin to the skin of Pinot grapes. Most of the rooms have exceptional views overlooking the vineyards as well as the 98-foot infinity pool bordering the lush & ripe grapevines.

With so much to offer to visitors, Jackalope will soon become a beloved destination for wine & luxury enthusiasts across Australia. Do visit this vineyard hotel to experience its magnificence & grandeur for yourselves!
