Leaping Lizard range of wines comes from the Ferngrove Wine Estate, one of Australia’s leading wine producers. This winery uses fruit from the world famous Margaret and Frankland River wine regions to craft absolutely exquisite delights that are loved by wine lovers all over. Leaping Lizard range from this estate aims to capture the regional elements of its land into each bottle of wine. The logo of this wine, a dragon like creature with strong hind legs indicates that like this ‘leaping lizard’, the wines crafted here too are magnificent and robust. Very few can match up to the quality of these wines.

Leaping Lizard SSB

Leaping Lizard Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, crafted by winemaker Kim Horton is one of the many wonders produced under this range. It is pale green in colour and has a deliciously fragrant bouquet. Fresh aromas of green pear, kiwis and herbs greet you on the nose of this wine. The palate is bright and zingy with flavours of kiwis, passionfruit, tropical fruit and lime. The wine enjoys an interesting acidity, nice balance and a long lasting finish. It is a treat for the price point that it is offered at.

No matter what the occasion, be it a big celebration or a Saturday night get-together with your friends or a simple dinner for two, this wine is simply perfect. Pair it with pan-fried scallops, big garlicky prawns, seafood with south-east Asian flavour, young goats’ cheese or salads with goats’ cheese to make a delicious meal.

Other must-try wines from this range are Leaping Lizard Sauvignon Blanc, Leaping Lizard Shiraz and Leaping Lizard Cabernet Merlot.
