McGuigan is a known name in the Australian wine industry. The winery has a rich and interesting winemaking history that goes more than a hundred and fifty years back. The business had humble beginnings when the owner Owen McGuigan started cultivating on a small vineyard to supplement his income that majorly came from a dairy business. Gradually, McGuigan realised his flair for crafting wonderful wines. His passion and hard work paid off and McGuigan began producing wines in good quantities and great quality.
Owen’s son, Peter joined his father’s business and made sure to bring McGuigan as one of the leading wineries on the Hunter Valley map. He upheld his father’s values of hard work and dedication and this led him to become a Living Legend award winner. Peter’s son, Brian took after him and made sure that under his leadership, the business scaled new heights. Today, McGuigan wines are known all over the country for their remarkable creations, vintage after vintage.
