Cumulus Wines is considered as the heart and soul of wine regions of Orange and Central Ranges. This has been a result of their outpouring passion for the craft and a perfect representation of New South Wales wine tradition. The long and colourful history of Cumulus Wines dates the back to early 1980s when a group of intellectuals recognized the viticulture potential of the fertile soils and prevailing favourable climate in Orange Region. The group acquired a 500-hectare vineyard and built a 10,000-tonne winery that can store up to 8 million litres of wine. In 2004, the name of the company was changed to “Cumulus Wines” as it is called now. The fluffy cloud formations that hover above the rolling terrain of the vineyards served as an inspiration for the name. A monumental development happened three years later when Berardo family of winemakers joined Cumulus Wines in 2007. The exciting fusion of wine principles from the classic Portugal and the New World attracted wine lovers from every corner. Jose Berardo and his son, Renato are two renowned winemakers in Europe.

Among the diverse brands under Cumulus Wines, the Rolling variety is the wine range that no one should ever miss. Grapes are grown in the Rolling Hills of Central Ranges where the elevation of the terrain varies from 550 meters to 600 meters above sea level. This type of setting where cool winds blow over the soils bathed by fair amounts of sunlight produces grapes that are rich in both colour and flavour.

Rolling Chardonnay wines is made from selected fresh grapes harvested from Central Ranges. The fruits are gently pressed and the extracts are carefully fermented in separate batches. After the fermentation process, the wine is mixed with yeast lees (or residuals) to create a creamy and smooth texture.

Its bouquet is defined by ripe tropical fruits and supple notes of banana and melon. This bright golden yellow wine with tinges of green presents a full-bodied palate of tropical fruits with balanced acidity and creamy texture.

Rolling Chardonnay wines can be served fresh from the winery but a cellaring of up to two years will reward with a fuller and more structured flavour. This wine can be enjoyed on its own or together with appetizers and light meat dishes such as seafood, fish and poultry.

Over the years, Cumulus Wines has transformed from a certified Australian favourite to a popular brand loved by millions of wine lovers worldwide. Cumulus Wines is warmly welcomed in Asian markets such as China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Cumulus Wines is also making waves in the international market including USA, Canada, Europe and New Zealand. Definitely, the exciting flavour of Cumulus Wines is embraced by every culture from around the globe.
