The Pinot family of grapes known as a delightful delicacy from the Burgundy wine region in France features the most popular grape varieties. Rosemount Estate is proud to present two varieties from the Pinot family, grown in the well-maintained vineyards of South Eastern Australia. Pinot Noir and Pinot Grigio are well-loved red and white varietals, respectively that will surely satisfy your palate and leave a lasting impression of excellence and consistency.
Rosemount Diamond Label Pinot Grigio is made from the freshest grapes sourced from selected vineyards within the Estate. To maintain the innate fruit characters of the variety, the grapes were processed and matured in stainless steel tanks. A great season of above-average rainfall and warmer conditions allowed the fruits to attain optimum ripeness and achieve an ideal balance of sugars and acids. The aromatic bouquet is built by characters of crisp nashi pear, luscious pomegranate and zesty pink grapefruit. The palate is filled with concentrated fresh red apple flavours with light notes of juicy pear and pomegranate. The blend of summer fruit flavours is capped to a bright and soft finish. This wine is best had immediately from its release while the natural fruity characters are still young and fresh.
Rosemount Diamond Label Pinot Noir is made from fresh grape harvests sourced from the same vineyard region. A smaller portion of the wine was matured in lightly seasoned French oak barrels for three months to add a touch of complexity to the palate while maintaining a fresh fruit focus. Red fruity characters of strawberry and cherry build the nose of this wine. Red fruits with subtle hints of invigorating spices also create a flavourful and delectable palate. Silky smooth tannins finish the exciting fusion of flavours to a rich, deep and strong finale. This medium-bodied wine may be enjoyed directly after purchase while a short term cellaring of up to three years will reward to a more integrated structure of the complex Pinot Noir characters.
