White Wines Delights from Australia

Drinking white wines is a great way to prevent the heart against aging. It protects the heart from many diseases and is also effective in preventing cancer. People looking to lose weight may turn towards white wine or champagne as they both have lesser calories as compared to other types of liquor.

Though famous for its reds, Australia produces some of the best white wines in world as well. Few of these include:

Oakridge 864 Single Block Release Chardonnay 2012:

Best White Wine

David Bicknell is famous for producing a range of Yarra Valley Chardonnays reflecting the winemaking and maturation techniques of the region. The 864 Block Release Chardonnay 2012 was created by spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels. It was then aged on yeast lees for about nine months, which gave the wine a high natural acidity factor. The intense fruity flavours of the wine coupled with the creamy texture, complex seasoning and appealing acidic backbone make this wine a favourite among wine – enthusiasts of all ages.

Tolpuddle Vineyard Chardonnay 2012:

Shaw and Smith, noted Adelaide Hills winemakers, acquired the Tolpuddle vineyard in the year 2011, a region famous for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The first release of the Tolpuddle Chardonnay is complex, powerful and elegant, showcasing the properties of a rich Chardonnay. This charming Chardy displays a creamy texture and great finesse, along with its fresh and juicy white peach and grapefruit flavours.

Tyrrell’s Vat 1 Semillon 2007:

This is one of the best wines of the Hunter Valley region. As a young wine, it is acidic, intense and lean with its flavour tending towards lemon. But as it matures over the years, the Vat 1 Semillon becomes deeper, more intense and complex, giving off toasty aromas and nutty flavours. The lemon juice flavour turns to a fresh lemongrass and honey – like flavour, making the wine extremely appealing.

Buy any of these are you are sure to be in for a scrumptious treat!
