Yalumba Launches 'The Caley' Rare and Fine Wine

Yalumba, member of Australia’s First Families of Wine and its oldest family owned winery, has released ‘The Caley Coonawarra & Barossa Cabernet & Shiraz 2012’ this month which comes at a steep price of $349. ‘The Caley’ is released in its Rare and Fine Collection range. This wine sources its fruit from Coonawarra and Barossa Wine regions which imparts it elegance and richness that simply gratifies the senses of the consumer. According to Robert Hill Smith of Yalumba, this wine reminds of Australian wines of yesteryears bringing with it the same excitement which those wines used to hold. James Halliday stated it as ‘a truly magnificent wine’, scoring 98 points on the charts, which can be termed as close to perfect. Yalumba has also partnered with glassware company Riedal to produce the first cabernet shiraz glass with the the wine’s launch.
Besides the newly launched 'The Caley', Yalumba also has five other wines in its Rare and Fine collection of wines. These include The Octavius, The Signature, The Tri-centenary, The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon and The Virgilius Viognier.
