Medium colour with excellent purple hues. On release at 15 months of age aromas are still quite fruit driven plus lifted oak. A serious young Pinot Noir with fragrant dark cherry, toasty oakand forestry aromas. Soft entry to the palate, dark fruit characters supportedby ripe tannins. Oak is noticeable at thisearly stage but the char/vanillin add plenty of complexity. This wine will mature futher although enjoyable as a rich young Pinot Noir. Enjoy over the next decade. Enjoy with Duck, quail and steak tartare.

WINERY INFORMATION

Winemaking

Retention of fruit character is always important. Processing involved cold soak of the must for a few days and included approximately 20% whole bunches in the ferment. No post ferment maceration was under taken. Oak maturation was in predominantly used French oak barriques and bottled at the 12 month mark.
