Pretty Good

The Climbing Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from grapes harvested from the estate’s best Cabernet blocks in the Orange region. It has an alcohol content of 13% and appears as a rich red liquid with a purple rim. Earthy aromas of cassis, blackcurrant, tobacco and a hint of cool climate leafiness fill the bouquet and entice the drinker. The palate features typical Cabernet characters such as tobacco leaf and dark berry fruits. This medium-bodied wine has an elegant structure enhanced by hints of oak and firm tannins that give it a persistent finish. This wine is the perfect match to lamb cutlets, steak, or a rich and full-flavoured casserole.

WINERY INFORMATION

In 2007, the original owners who established Cumulus Estate Wines in the early 80s were joined by the Berardo family from Portugal. The family currently owns the majority of the estate. When they came on board, they brought with them valuable winemaking experience and knowledge that further elevated the reputation of Cumulus. Senior Winemaker Debbie Lauritz, a cool climate specialist who works closely with the estate’s viticulturists, further solidifies the prestige of Cumulus Estate Wines.
