Dark red with strong purple hues. Very aromatic spicy red fruits. A very silky smooth palate of red fruits including raspberry and cherry with wonderful white pepper spice running through the wine. Food Pairing Wood fired pizza, mushroom risotto, gourmet burgers and salami.
VINEYARD
The Cock + Bull range is a “PERFECTLY BALANCED” blend of fruit from South Australia’s most prolific and recognised wine growing regions. Cock + Bull Shiraz Viognier is sourced directly from the producers own vineyard located on the River Murray in South Australia.
WINEMAKING
The fruit was selected from different parcels of the vineyard and at various levels of ripeness to draw upon the full spectrum of Shiraz flavours. The grapes were carefully macerated on skins for ten days and pressed. The wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation before maturation with our own special combination of high quality selected oak. The wine was handled as few times as possible to ensure the excellent fruit qualities developed in the vineyard are preserved.
