: Produced using 50% Shiraz and 50% Grenache grapes, d'Arry's Original Shiraz Grenache features a dark plum colour lined by brick red hues. The attractive bouquet exudes lifted scents of mixed fruits and baking spices, with sandalwood and fresh leather hints following close behind. Balanced by fine acidity, the elegant palate is rife with generous fruit flavours and sweetness. These characters further integrate with dry tannins, culminating the wine in a refreshing and captivating finish. This beautiful red blend has been made for consumption upon release, but will also benefit from a short term cellaring period. Drink it with pepper steak, gourmet hamburgers or grilled lamb chops to unveil its wonderful fruit profile.

WINERY INFORMATION:

d’Arenberg is a family owned winery, cellar door and restaurant located in McLaren Vale, South Australia. The 70 year old cellar door was reestablished in the 19th century homestead by Chester Osborn, after joining the company as Chief Winemaker in 1983. This spectacular red blend was renamed d’Arry’s Original to honour third generation winemaker Francis Osborn’s contribution to the wine industry. It was earlier known as ‘Burgundy’.
