De Bortoli Wines was established by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in 1928 after their purchase of a 55-acre mixed fruit farm. They received tremendous support from local growers and immigrants, allowing De Bortoli to establish itself as one of the most reputed wine estates of modern Australia. Their winemaking motto is Semper ad Majora, which means “always striving for better”.
Produced using grapes sourced from Riverina, the enticing and juicy The Accomplice Chardonnay is a light straw hued wine exhibiting lifted scents of peach and nectarine from its bouquet. Undertones of subtle oak transfer these fragrances to a creamy and plush palate balanced by the innate mineral acidity, culminating in a clean, lengthy and persistent climax. This exquisite medium-bodied Chardy can be consumed fresh and young, or be cellared for a short term of 2 to 3 years. Pair it with Tasmanian scallop pie or creamy pastas and risottos to unlock its full flavour potential.
