Durvillea Pinot Gris 2020 Marlborough - 12 Bottles
Availability: In stock
The grapes used to craft Durvillea Pinot Gris were machine harvested and gently pressed. The free run juice obtained was fermented with yeast in stainless steel tanks. This process led to the creation of a medium straw coloured wine. A swirl of the glass reveals scintillating aromas of peach, pear, citrus peel, and dried tropical fruit. The palate is medium to full bodied, brimming with melon, peach and nougat flavours. These flavours and fragrances fuse together to culminate the wine in a dry finish. This delicious white wine tastes excellent served slightly chilled with creamy pasta, mushroom or seafood dishes.
WINERY INFORMATION
Durvillea is the second wine label created by talented winemaker Simon Waghorn, the first being the Astrolabe wine brand. The name of the brand was derived from the durvillea seaweed growing along the Marlborough Coast. This seaweed variety was named so in admiration of Dumont d’Urville, the Captain of the L'Astrolabe ship.
