This beautiful Family Chardonnay from Fox Creek Wines presents a pale gold colour. Lush aromas of mandarin, white nectarine and citrus blossom fuse with light scents of bread dough, fresh apricot, cashew nut and almond to flaunt a richly perfumed nose. These fragrances seamlessly move to a plush and creamy palate containing flavours of mandarin, peacherine, and white and golden peaches coupled with almond, cashew and oak characters. The aromas and flavours are supported by crisp mineral acidity, ending the wine in an elegant and balanced finish. This wonderful Chardonnay can either be consumed upon release, or be cellared for about 6 years for a rewarding flavour profile. Drink it with red curry of salmon, vegetable terrines, and risotto.
Fox Creek’s winemaking team, headed by Senior Winemaker Scott Zrna, firmly believes that premium wines are created in the vineyard and great care should be taken to nurture top quality vines. Jim and Helen Watts bought the 32 hectare property in 1984 and nurtured outstanding quality grapes at Fox Creek Vineyard.
