Freeman Rondinella and Corvina ‘Secco’ 2015 Hilltops - 12 Bottles
Availability: In stock

This italian-style blend of Rondinella and Corvina grape varieties. It was aged separately for 2 years in old oak barrels, followed by 2 years of maturation in bottles prior to blending. Poured into a glass, it flaunts a vibrant red colour. The bouquet exudes complex aromas of morello cherries and panforte with a hint of berry compote. Similar flavour on the palate are complemented by soft tannins and balanced acidity, eventually culminating in a long and velvety finish. This blend can be paired with braised herb crusted lamb or well flavoured pasta.
Freeman Vineyards were established by wine enthusiast, Dr Brian Freeman, who travelled to Italy in order to create a completely different type of wine with unique flavours and complexity. He began his venture by combining two Italian classics, Rondinella and Corvina, and later succeeded in creating many other award-winning blends.
