Pretty Good

Pertaringa Undercover Shiraz features a dark red colour with purple highlights lurking throughout. The perfumed nose exudes mesmerising aromas of plums, dark berries, cocoa beans and dark chocolate. The medium bodied palate is rife with intense flavours of plums, cloves, spice and black olives, ending the wine in a soft finish. Made for consumption upon release, this delightful Shiraz has the potential to be cellared for eight years from vintage. Pair it with juniper berry-rubbed venison loin, served with blueberry-red wine reduction, on a bed of braised cabbage.

WINERY INFORMATION

Pertaringa is a family operated winery founded by accomplished vigneron Geoff Hardy. After working at his family’s wine company, Thomas Hardy & Sons, Geoff decided to move out and started his wine brand.  In 1980, he teamed up with skilled viticulturist Ian Leask and bought the Pertaringa vineyard. In 1987, he planted the K1 vineyard in the Kuitpo region, Adelaide Hills with the objective to produce premium cool climate grapes.
