The fruit for this wine is sourced from the premium regions of the Barossa Valley, Eden Valley and Adelaide Hills in South Australia. The 2013 vintage produced low crops and small berries which ripened perfectly giving rich, concentrated flavours and excellent acid retention, which is reflected in the quality of all our white wines. The blend is 66% Semillon and 34% Sauvignon Blanc.
The fruit was de-stemmed and the whole berries were gently pressed to reduce the amount of phenolics extracted and keep the delicate fruit flavours to the fore. Low emperatures were used throughout fermentation, with all of the wine left on lees for 3 months to add texture to the palate.
The 2013 Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is bright lemon in colour with a youthful green hue. Herbaceous notes along with aromas of lemon, grapefruit and lime all dominate the nose, with subtle melon fruits in the background. Ultimately a fresh zesty wine with crisp acidity and ripe fruit flavours making this an easy drinking wine style. Well
suited to various seafood dishes or chicken salads.
