Grapes for this exquisite Shiraz were sourced from premium vineyards in Barossa’s Eden Valley region.
The 2014 vintage experienced a dry growing season, which led to lower crop levels but high quality fruit. Four individual parcels of these grapes from the same vineyard were handpicked separately. Each of these batches was subjected to a unique fermentation technique. This splendid wine was manufactured using traditional European winemaking methods, specifically extended maceration, which aims to enhance flavour intensity and soften tannins. For maturation, 51% of the juice was transferred to new French oak hogsheads and the remaining wine was placed in older barrels for a period of 22 months.
