Hammer & Tongs South Australia Merlot 2009 - 12 Bottles
Availability: Out of stock

The richly flavoured fruit used to produce Hammer & Tongs Merlot was crushed and destemmed. The juice obtained underwent fermentation on the skin. The resultant wine displays a deep garnet colour with a purple rim. A swirl of the glass reveals the fruit driven bouquet, which exudes blackberry and plum fragrances. These dark fruit aromas effortlessly shift to a smooth and impressively structured palate showing red fruit characters with a hint of spice. Balanced by soft acidity and integrated with smooth tannins, the elegant palate culminates in a long and intense finale. This red wine can be enjoyed on its own, or served with beef dishes, tomato sauce pasta, or a strong cheese of choice.
