This red is a blend of 90% Cab Sav and 10% Cab Franc, cellared for 22 months prior to release. Upon being poured, it flaunts a bright red colour with hints of purple. The bouquet offers dark berry, earthy and subtle mint & mocha aromas. Matching flavours on the impressively-balanced palate are further complemented by a touch of olives. These characteristics eventually culminate in a pleasant tannin finish. You may pair it with slow-braised beef, rosemary garlic grilled lamb chops, or grilled portobello mushroom.
Located in the renowned McLaren Vale region, Hastwell & Lightfoot was established by Mark & Wendy Hastwell along with Martin & Jill Lightfoot in the year 1988. A 40-acre vineyard, 3 acres of olive plantations and a beautiful cellar door together form a part of this family-owned company.
