With Head Nouveau, Head Wines have fermented a stunning Grenache inspired by the 'nouveau' wines of Beaujolais - they get the wine straight into bottles as soon as it's ready to drink, so you can have an early taste of what their vineyards are up to.
With a soft, juicy flavour, Nouveau is a tank fermented wine - instead of other wines that can feel weighed down from being aged in oak, the Nouveau is a light, uplifting drop that goes down easy. Chilled for 20 minutes, it becomes the perfect red for a hot summer's day.
Head Wines is the brainchild of Alex Head, a winemaker fascinated with old world techniques and the differences that soil and climate can make to a wine. His primary inspiration is Shiraz from the Cote Rotie in France, an influence that can be founded woven throughout all his delectable wines.
