: This Shiraz underwent MLF for 6 months in a combination of 65% new & 35% 2nd-use French oak. It was then blended and matured in oak for 22 months. Bottled without fining and filtration, it showcases a deep ruby colour. A lifted and expressive bouquet exudes complex aromas of liquorice, red scented fruits, blackberry, violets, jasmine and nutmeg along with a touch of mint. Red fruit & spice characteristics seamlessly pave the way for a layered palate that is balanced by bright acidity and fine grained tannins. A powerful and elegant red wine, it pairs exceptionally with grilled portobello mushrooms, Mexican shepherd's pie or grilled lamb.

WINERY INFORMATION:

A highly-rated winery, Hentley Farm was founded in the 1990s with the acquisition of 150 acre vineyard and mixed farming property by Keith and Alison Hentschke. The wines are crafted by Winemaker Andrew Quin, who returned to Australia with an aim to explore & work on the land of Barossa. Clos Otto Shiraz, a label by the brand, is very popular being classified as the best & most collectible wines in Australia by Langton’s Classification.
