A beautiful pale straw coloured wine with a youthful green hue. The bouquet is fresh and intense displaying lifted aromas of passionfruit, kiwi fruit and grapefruit, preserved lemon, white elderflower and hints of vanillin spice. This light bodied wine is vibrant and juicy with a palate that showcases blackcurrant, lime segments and pink grapefruit flavours. It has vibrant acidity which provides balance and freshness to it. Pair it best with chicken, turkey, pork, halibut, crab, lobster or haddock.
Houghton Wines was founded by three British army officers — Ninian Lowis, Thomas Yule and Richmond Houghton in 1836.
