Pretty Good

: Double Barrel Shiraz from Jacob’s Creek is a fruit-forward and dry red wine. Crafted using fruit sourced from premium vineyards in Barossa Valley, this generous and full-bodied wine shows a deep crimson colour cut through by light purple tinges. Enticing aromas of red fruits and dark berries flow off the bouquet while the complex and ripe palate is infused with sweet red berry, dark chocolate, toasty vanillin and nutty oak flavours. The use of aged scotch whisky barrels for maturation added almond husk nuances, in addition to softening the dense tannins, altogether leading to a smooth and lasting finale. Pair this full-flavored Shiraz with lamb, beef, venison and poultry dishes to maximize its flavour potential.

WINERY INFORMATION:

William Jacob settled down on the banks of a small creek in Rowland Flat in 1840, which was later named after him and is now popular across the globe as Jacob’s Creek. In 1877, his son Gustav relocated the winery to its current site so that larger cellars and newer technological equipment could be installed.
