Jansz Vintage Cuvee 2018 Tasmania - 6 Bottles

Availability: In stock

Pretty Good

Experienced warm spring conditions and a dry summer, which led to a reasonable grape yield. Partial barrel fermentation and ageing on yeast lees for about four and a half years provide this wine with a marvellous yeast complexity. Jansz Vintage Cuvee contains an alcohol level of 12.5% and displays a pale gold hue with a persistent mousse and delicate beads. Blissful aromas of lemon curd, nougat and fresh toast flow off the bouquet, fusing with hints of white flowers and brioche lurking in the background. The layered and concentrated palate is a fusion of crème Brulee, rose water, wild strawberry and preserved lemon flavours that culminate in a pleasing and clean finale. Roasted nuts and Spanish tapas taste wonderful with this wine.

WINERY INFORMATION

The Jansz vineyard is situated on Pipers Brook Road in Pipers Brook, Tasmania. The name of the company pays homage to the Dutch explorer who first sighted the island of Tasmania in 1642, Abel Janszoon Tasman. The Hill-Smith family purchased the property in 1997 and uplifted its status to one of the most acclaimed sparkling wine creators in Australia.
