WHY DO WE LIKE THIS WINE

This bright crimson-purple coloured wine is an enchanting blend of five different grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon (62.6%), Merlot (18.5%), Cabernet Franc (7.8%), Malbec (7.4%), & Petit Verdot (3.7%). All the fruit has been farmed sustainably using organic practices. This unique blend emanates a clean and fragrant aroma with intense black fruits, bay leaf & violet nuances. The palate ranges from medium to full-bodied & is full of juicy blackcurrant sweet & dark fruit characters. It’s fresh with balanced acidity, ripe, fine tannins & a persistent and satisfying finish. The fermentation process takes place separately for each variety using a mix of open and closed fermenters ranging between 8 to 21 days on the skin. In addition, the aging takes place in oaks in separate batches for a minimum of 12 months in French barrels, 12% of which are new. The process of blending kicks in after aging is over. Tickle your taste buds with a glass of this wine paired with slow-cooked lamb or stuffed mushrooms.

Juniper Estate was established in 1973 by late Roger Hill and his wife Gillian Anderson to produce the best wines from Wilyabrup, the heart of the remote, environmentally pristine Margaret River winegrowing area lying in the southwest corner of Australia. In 1999, the vineyard got a temperature-controlled barrel room built. The winery has modern refrigeration and storage equipment which ensure optimum fruit treatment. The process takes place in small batches which are treated separately, evaluated and blended in a truly boutique fashion.
