This Grenache was matured a further 10 months in seasoned French oak puncheons. A bright crimson coloured beauty, it emanates lifted aromatic scents of dark cherry and rose petal, followed by underlying earthy tones. These fragrances are followed by a fleshy palate with rich strawberry conserve and morello cherry flavours. Supported by soft powdery tannin and refreshing acidity, this blend eventually gives a soft and generous mouthfeel.
Heritage-listed winery Kay Brothers was founded by Australian born brothers Frederick and Herbert Kay in 1890. The aim of the winery is to preserve the amazing flavours and characters provided by nature in the vineyard. Their focus is sustainability, biodiversity and soil health across the property. This allows them to run the vineyard more organically while making the vines more resilient to disease and drought conditions.
