Konrad named the Sigrun dessert wine after his wife, as a surprise for the release of the first vintage.
Sigrun Noble Two is a blend of juicy Riesling grapes with luscious Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The resulting wine displays a deep straw gold colour with light green highlights along the edges. Lush aromas of pineapple, apricot, guava, lychee and toffee flow from its scintillating nose. The textured palate packs layers of stone fruit and tropical fruit flavours, coupled with underlying toasty oak nuances. These vibrant characters are balanced by fine acidity as well as mineral characters of flint and quartz, to end this exquisite white blend in a long and persistent finale. With a cellaring potential of about a decade, this delicious dessert wine is the perfect food accompaniment to blue cheese, and chicken, duck or goose liver pates.
