Vibrantly cherry coloured, this is Shiraz based fortified wine is light in style with flavours of red fruit and tinned plums.It is named in belated honour of Father James Dunphy, who lost his life aged 30 years, June 17th 1845, when swept off his horse attempting to cross the flooded Cudgegong River, at the present location of our Martins Hill Vineyard.Fr. Dunphy was at the end of a 4 day ride from the settlement of Harley, Western edge of the Blue Mountains, to baptise tow children.
