The premium fruit used to produce Lock & Key Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon was cold soaked and fermented for 12 days. The juice was then stored in French hogsheads for a year. This process led to the creation of a deep crimson coloured wine showing a bright purple haze. The perfumed nose offers wonderful forest fruit aromas supported by complex cedary nuances. The full-bodied palate is brimming with intense flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant and spice. These generous characters combine with light cedar oak notes to culminate the wine in a textured and captivating finish. This beautiful Cab Sauv from Moppity Vineyards can be relished with braised beef short ribs, garlic chicken wings or Cheddar cheese.

WINERY INFORMATION

Raised in a family of fine wine producers, Jason Brown always dreamt of starting his own wine company. In 2002, Jason and his wife, Alecia began their search throughout Australia for the perfect vineyard. Their search ended at Moppity Vineyard in Hilltops, Southern NSW in 2004. This vineyard had been established in 1973, & was a great site for the cultivation of juicy & vibrant grapes.
