Moppity Lock & Key Single Vineyard Merlot was fermented in French hogsheads and barriques, which resulted in a dark red coloured wine with purple hues. Rich forest fruit, plum and cedar aromas can be sensed on the bouquet. With a Bordeaux-like tannin profile, the palate is generous, powerful and concentrated with flavours of ripe dark fruits and dark chocolate. The wine's finish is charmingly balanced and velvety smooth. It is best enjoyed with pungent blue cheeses.

Founded by Jason & Alecia Brown, Moppity is known for its wide range of award-winning wines. Over the last decade, the winery has accumulated numerous trophies and medals for its Shiraz, Cabernet and Merlot varieties. Lock & Key Single Vineyard Merlot is one of the finest releases by Moppity to date and a much more "serious" wine than other Australian Merlots at this price.
