Pretty Good

: Cliff Edge Shiraz was produced from fruit that was grown in the Mount Langi Ghiran estate in Grampians, Victoria. When poured in a glass, the dark red liquid shows bright purple hues. It exudes blackberry, cherry and boysenberry aromas from its luscious bouquet, coupled with hints of pepper spice, clove and cocoa. The palate features rich red and black cherry flavours intensified by blue florals and pepper spice. This wine has length and balance brought about by a subtle oak influence, luscious tannins and fine acidity. While this marvellous wine is enjoyable on its own, it tastes absolutely delicious with lamb shanks, steak and barbecued meats. With careful cellaring, you can enjoy this multi awarded Shiraz varietal for about 10 years. This wine has received 95 points from Rob Geddes of Australian Wine Vintages.

WINERY INFORMATION:

When Trevor and Sandra Mast purchased the Langi wine estate from its initial owners in 1987, Trevor visualised the production of cool climate Shiraz even before this wine style became popular. At 350 meters above sea level, perched on the 922-meter cliff face of Mount Langi Ghiran, it is the perfect backdrop to the cool climate style of wines. Berries ripen slowly and can retain ideal acid levels, developing deep fruit flavours which set Langi Wines apart from the rest.
