Nocton Vineyard Estate Chardonnay features a bright green colour with stunning gold shades lurking throughout. The attractive bouquet offers pleasing scents of rock melon and stone fruit, accompanied by spicy nuances. The luscious palate is rife with intense flavours of peaches and cream, coupled with light hints of mushroom. This beautiful Chardonnay culminates in a lengthy and refreshing finale. It tastes excellent with chicken served with peaches and a bowl of seafood chowder.
Nocton Vineyard is a 34ha wine property first planted in the year 1999. The winemaking team led by Julian Alcorso crafts an outstanding range of intensely flavoured, cool climate wines. Governor Macquarie initially granted the property to Governor Davey, the future Governor of the Colony of Van Diemans land in 1813. The company's name was derived from the Scottish term Nocton, which referred to the farmstead where withered sheep were kept.
