Founded in 1983, Paulett Wines is a family owned winery established by Allison and Neil Paulett. Neil started his career in winemaking by working at Penfolds Wines in Sydney and Rosemount in Hunter Valley. Originally a trained nurse, Allison has been an active support behind Neil, helping him fulfilling his dream to create a brand of his own.
The grapes used to create this bold Shiraz were picked and hand processed in through open fermenters. The juice obtained so was matured in American and French oak barrels for 30 months. Paulett Andreas Shiraz features a dark crimson colour with a vibrant purple haze. Lifted scents of cherries and berries fuse with a gentle touch of spice to flaunt a scintillating nose. Firm tannins integrate with the rich palate containing chocolate and mocha flavours, to provide a silky texture. This full bodied Shiraz ends with a long and balanced finish. With a cellaring potential of twelve years, this tempting red wine can also be relished immediately upon release. Pair it with a roast beef fillet or Occo Bucco for an appealing mealtime experience.
