The Margaret River region is arguably the most exciting of Australia’s grape growing areas. The region is large in area and has several sub-climates which allows different varieties to excel. Two of the varieties that do particularly well in this maritime climate environment are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Both grape varieties thrive on the rich loamy soils which are common to many vineyards in the region. Selected vineyards in the Wilyabrup and Jindong sub regions of Margaret River.
The colour is a deepCrimson purple and the nose delivers aromas of lifted mulberry and blackberry fruits, raspberry and spice. The palate shows lots of juicy blackberry and red plums, supported by hints of vanilla oak and long grainy tannins. The Grape varieties have been chosen to create an elegant wine which is approachable and enjoyable at a young age. This wine is a perfect drink on it’s own with it’s soft and approachable palate. It will be a perfect match with most meat dishes why not try it with barbecued Porterhouse steak on a garlic mash.
