The Penfolds winery in New South Wales has been using Tumbarumba fruit to produce elegant Chardonnay wines since a long time. The Tumbarumba vines produce great - quality cool - climate grapes which only get better with maturation in French oak barrels. This particular wine is pale white - golden in colour with a nose exhibiting mesmerizing aromas of loquat, lemon blossom and white peach. Generous stone fruit minerality coupled with a nutty, nougat touch adds complexity to the wine. The palate is brimming with lime juice flavours accompanied by grapefruit nuances and a citrus - like acidity. The wine provides a wonderful mouth feel and length. It is ready for consumption now and will stay good till 2020.
