Pretty Good

: Sourced from lush vineyards in McLaren Vale, the grapes used to craft Penny’s Hill Edwards Road Cabernet Sauvignon were destemmed, crushed, barrel fermented and left on skins to retain maximum colours, tannins and fruit flavours in the wine. It displays a dark ruby colour with magenta hues on the edges. The attractive bouquet exudes sharp aromas of blackberry, mulberry and red currant fruit, with subtle earthy notes and hints of tobacco lurking in the background. This Cabernet Sauvignon is rich and juicy on the palate, filled with flavours of black fruits and ripe Cabernet characters, which are balanced by fine tannins and savoury notes to end in a long and delicious finish. This full-bodied red wine has a medium-term cellaring potential and tastes great with osso buco, stewed meat dishes and slow-braised chuck steak with winter vegetables.

WINERY INFORMATION:

Located on the rolling foothills to the east of McLaren Vale, the Penny’s Hill estate is recognized for its exceptional balance of texture, complexity and ingenuity. The wine brand was established by Tony and Susie Parkinson in 1988 when they purchased land to plant their own vineyard. Penny’s Hill Vineyard was named after the hill at the foot of which this winery is located.
