WHY DO WE LIKE THIS WINE
The dry growing season of the 2013 vintage resulted in a low yield, but one of excellent quality. These grapes were picked, crushed, chilled, fermented and kept on yeast lees for three months prior to bottling. This extensive process was used to craft the bold and unoaked Peter Lehmann Founding Stone Chardonnay 2013. A green-gold hued wine, its fragrant nose gives off aromas of freshly-cut white peaches. The delicate and enticing palate is fruit-forward and intense, full of classic Chardonnay characters that culminate in a clean and dry finale. With a cellaring potential of 2 to 3 years, this elegant wine pairs marvellously with risottos, grilled chicken and creamy pastas.
