Harvested in mid April, the grapes used to craft this sparkling Pinot Gris were sourced from the vineyards of Pipers River and Tamar Valley. This wine varietal reveals a slight coppery hue, with subtle hints of light golden straw along the edges. The nose exudes complex yet lovely aromas of pears, jonagold apples, tangelo zest and freshly dried goji berries, with hints of jasmine and gardenia potpourri complementing subtle notes of nutmeg and cinnamon spice. The enticing palate features flavours of poached pears in honey, apple strude,l and goji berry fruits, with the richness of sweet ginger and cinnamon spice leading to a fine, chalky, dry and acidic finish. Developed for consumption on release, this wine has a cellaring potential for 3 to 4 years, and is an ideal pairing with Italian style antipasto, oven roasted turkey, risottos, grilled seafood, and Asian and Mediterranean style dishes.
