There’s something about the word Nebbiolo that makes us go weak at the knees as it’s the noble grape of Italy that has been responsible for the seduction and ruin of many a bank account. The Pizzini’s are proving once a gain that site and climate are the all important factors when it comes to producing an authentic Australian version. A wine with a hugely aromatic nose, showing aromas of cherries, violet, roses and herbs as well as savoury spice. The palate is tarry with grainy tannins and fresh acidity and a striking fruit profile of cherry, earth and anise. A wine that definitely needs robust food such as stews and braises.
