WINERY INFORMATION

Set up by Geoff and Robert Schrapel, Bethany Wines was founded in 1981. Fruit is obtained from the brand’s vineyards, namely, the Homestead Vineyard, the Bethanien Vineyard, the Bethany Quarry Vineyard and the Manse Vineyard, along with some premium wine growers from Eden Valley. Both traditional and modern winemaking techniques are employed to craft wines of flavour, elegance, complexity and length.

TASTING NOTES

Grapes for this Chardonnay were sourced from Barossa and Eden Valley. It displays a straw gold colour with green hues. On the nose, it exudes apple, white peach and honeyed floral notes. These characters pave the way for a structured palate revealing stone and orchid fruit flavours with tight acidity and subtle French oak hints in the background, adding complexity to the wine. It culminates in a long and lengthy finish. You may pair this lovely drink with chicken pot pie, cheesy polenta, or oregano salmon patties.
