Harewood Estate, located in Western Australia's Great Southern region, showcases the area's diversity through its single-vineyard expressions. The Tunney Riesling is part of their signature lineup. Each release features a minimalist label resembling a blank canvas, while the quality is anything but. The wine is made from premium free-run juice of grapes grown near Tunney, about 40 km north-east of Frankland River.

• Climate: Warmest days and coolest nights in the estate, ideal for thicker-skinned, structured Riesling grapes.

• These conditions produce introspective fruit with textural weight and varietal purity.

Winemaking

Only the finest free-run juice was used. Long, cool fermentation took place in stainless steel, designed to preserve delicacy. After fermentation, the wine spent time on lees to enhance texture. Minimal fining and screwcap closure further ensure purity and freshness.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Exceptionally pale straw with youthful green tinges.

• Aroma: Pungent blossom notes, spicy undertones, and stone-fruit hints with a refreshing lemon-barley brightness.

• Palate: Seamless palate featuring passionfruit and Meyer-lemon character, a spicy mid-palate, and textural pithy acidity leading to a crisp, long finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, shellfish, poultry and pork. Also excels alongside Asian-style dishes, creamy charcuterie, and dishes where bright acidity is desired.
