WINERY INFORMATION:

Incepted in 1968, McPherson Wines has been producing premium, fruit driven and full flavoured wines using fruit sourced from their family vineyards. The company’s first vineyard was planted by owner and accomplished winemaker Andrew McPherson. The McPherson family owns a total of 225 hectares of vineyards located in the Murray Darling and Goulburn Valley regions.

TASTING NOTES:

The grapes used to craft McPherson Family Sauvignon Blanc were harvested and crushed during the cool of the night. The juice was first cold settled, and then racked before cool fermentation. This process led to the creation of a light straw coloured wine presenting green highlights along the edges. This beautiful Sauv Blanc exudes tropical fruit scents of papaya, passionfruit and ripe pineapple from its scintillating nose. Light herbaceous notes of capsicum and tomato leaves enhance the perfumed bouquet. These tropical fruit aromas make way for a fresh palate, where they integrate with crisp acidity, to culminate in a lingering finish. This vibrant white wine can be cellared for four years from vintage. It tastes excellent with food items like chicken noodle salad, roasted corn soup and duck tacos.
