WINERY INFORMATION:

Based out of the Riverina wine region of New South Wales, the 143-year-old winery tells a story of a family’s passion for winemaking. Since 1877, the winery has produced six consecutive generations of winemakers including the founder Samuel McWilliam. The company produces wines that are both creative and authentic with an emphasis on freshness and simplicity, from vine to table.

TASTING NOTES:

The Shiraz was harvested in early March and was fermented on skins in automated stainless steel fermenters for a period of 5-6 days to allow for full colour and tannin extraction. The resulting drink flaunts a dark ruby red colour with violet hues. On the nose, it offers aromas of blackberry, dark fruits with subtle hints of black pepper and aromatic spices. The balanced wine reveals black cherry, raspberry flavours complemented by subtle fine tannins and toasty mocha oak, providing a lingering palate.
